Benestar received a request from a Kyrgyz company for the transportation of an unusual cargo. A container with a helicopter arrived from Canada to Istanbul via HAPAG. The cargo was insured.
Initially, we did not want to change the container, but HAPAG did not release or sell their standard container. We had to transfer the cargo from one transport to another.
We began searching for a site for the transshipment. The port and many customs warehouses refused to handle the transshipment on their premises, explaining that they could not guarantee the quality and safety of the cargo. Moreover, all Istanbul lines that were working with Russia at that time did not provide a booking for the helicopter. After calling dozens of lines and customs warehouses, we found one warehouse in Istanbul and one ferry line in Samsun. We ordered an empty container from Samsun, placed two containers at the customs warehouse, and arranged for rigging.
Thanks to the experienced team at the customs warehouse, the transshipment went smoothly, without a single hitch or problem. The riggers secured the helicopter even better than the Canadian fasteners, issued a warranty certificate for the fastening, and stated that even if the container were to turn upside down, the helicopter would be unharmed. In other words, they nailed, screwed, and secured everything perfectly.
Thanks to the experience and professionalism of the staff at Benestar, the task of delivering the helicopter was resolved in the shortest possible time.
